HENNESSY HAMMOCK SURVIVES RAINFLY
Dear Hennessy Hammock,
Just this past week I went with a group of people on a missions trip to South Dakota. I had been there several times before, working with the Lakota Indian tribes in Pine Ridge, so i knew what the weather was like. I knew that the weather could be crazy and unpredictable. We have always camped in the past, so I decided to give the hammock a try. Well, sure enough the weather wasn't always so pretty. The first couple of nights it rained quite a bit and to my surprise, I stayed dry. Well the third night, we all had to seek shelter because winds were up to 70 mph at the least and there were tornados, hail, and loads of rain. We stayed the night in the basement of a lodge that night. The next morning when everyone went out to see the destruction, everyone's tents were down. The tents were ripped, wrapped around trees, and tent poles were bent. I was sure that my hammock was down, if not ripped to pieces. To my surprise once again, it was still up, just as I had seen it the day before. AND it was completely dry inside. everyone was amazed and I just wanted to let you all know that you have a great product and I will continue to use it.

DEEP JUNGLE

Hennessy Hammock users have suggested that we make a side zippered hammock and they have also
asked us for a double bottomed hammock - so we have produced the first of a series of new hammocks which include
both of these features and offer Hennessy Hammock users a choice between our patented bottom-entry
hammock or a newly designed side-entry hammock - the Deep Jungle zip and Deep Jungle XL zip. The bottom entry has been replaced with a zipper with two double sliders which open along one side for easy entry and access. We also included a second layer of fabric which forms a pocket for securing insulation pads such as our new radiant reflecting bubble pad and additional insulating materials. The user
no longer has to purchase a separate insulation system resulting in a significant cost savings over buying a
hammock and separate insulation system. The patented asym shape and ridgeline features are retained for maximum comfort and ease of set-up along with our same
high quality workmanship and hyperlightweight fabrics.
A hyperlight hammock with a side zipper and a breathable double-layered body. Can be used with
radiant reflecting bubble pad which attaches on the diagonal between the layers to convert the
hammock into a mosquito-proof 3-season shelter. Includes free 1" x 42" webbing straps.
Specifications
Weight: 2 lb. 14 oz. / 1288 gr.
Weight limit: 250 lbs. and over 6 ft.
Suggested retail price - $269 US

TWO NEW CATENARY CUT PONCHO RAINFLYS
Ultralight backpackers are always looking for products that can serve a double purpose and we have
had several inquiries for a rainfly which can double as a poncho. We've made several prototypes with
hoods sewn into the center of the poncho/rainfly and have concluded that when ever you have a big
hole through the middle of your rainfly, you have a good chance of getting wet. Our new Cat Cape
is a standard silnylon rainfly with three new features - first, this fly is catenary cut. That means we have
cut 8" of slack out of the middle for a taut set-up. We have also attached a barely noticeable 24"
double -slider black jacket zipper on one of the long sides. To use the rainfly as a poncho, just
throw the zippered long side over your head or shoulders and zip it up. To adjust the length of the
Cat Cape, tuck the two lower corners of the rainfly into your belt or pocket. This fly also has
silnylon reinforcements at the side tie-out corner which include integral pockets for storage of fly lines.

CAT CAPE PONCHO RAINFLY
Ultralight catenary cut silnylon rainfly for Backpacker, Hyperlight, Expedition or Deep Jungle - also doubles as a zip-up rain poncho.

Fits anyone up to 6 ft.
Suggested retail price - $89 US
CAT CAPE PONCHO RAINFLY XL
Ultralight catenary cut silnylon rainfly for Explorer Deluxe, Explorer Ultralight or Deep Jungle Long which also doubles as a zip-up rain poncho.
