These are the new pieces of gear we've recently started offering. Some of these are new products that we've designed and manufactured, and some of them are products that we really like because of their quality, their function, and ultralight design, and they complement our hammock designs.

Windrider Ultralight Pack by Hyperlite Mountain Gear

Hennessy Hammock is now carrying the improved version of Hyperlite Mountain Gear's Windrider Ultralight Pack. It is specifically designed for mountain hiking, long-distance hiking, and backpacking, although it is also highly suitable for day-hikers, thru-hikers, section-hikers, climbers, distance cyclists or campers with pack loads under 35 pounds. 

 

The Windrider is constructed primarily from rip-stop Cuben fiber/nylon hybrid material which is durable, lightweight, and waterproof. Additions to the new pack include a wider hip belt for more support and comfort, larger hip belt pockets, thicker shoulder straps, an internal hydration sleeve for a water bladder, an ice axe loop and keeper, an extra lower compression strap, removable straps for attaching snow shoes or other additional equipment, lighter and stiffer removable aluminum stays, and increased exterior mesh pocket blousing for added storage. 

 

Traditional features include a roll-top storm closure system, side and top compression straps capable of stowing a sleeping pad or trekking poles, three durable exterior mesh pockets for clothes drying and added storage, an adjustable sternum strap, a hydration hose port, waterproof hip belt pockets, and a double-reinforced bottom. The Windrider does not require a pack cover for rain protection and is now available in four sizes. Fully opened the 1.6 lb (25.5 oz) pack is 36” tall with 2,400 cubic inches of inside volume plus 600 inches of mesh pockets.

Torso Length is the measurement from your seventh vertabrae (C7) to the top of your iliac crest (where your hip bones meet your torso).  The height listed is the recommended height range per pack size, however please note that this is a guideline and that the measurement of your torso length is a more accurate gauge for correct pack size.

 

Return Policy

If you have your original invoice, you may return your HMG merchandise within 60 days of purchase for a full refund.  Returns not accompanied by an original invoice may be exchanged for merchandise or merchandise credit.

 

Warranty Information

All HMG products are fully warranted to the original owner against defects in materials and workmanship for the term of one year. If a product fails due to a manufacturing defect, even after extended use, we will repair the product, without charge, or replace it, at our discretion. This warranty does not cover damage caused by accident, improper care, negligence, normal wear and tear, or the natural breakdown of materials over extended time and use.

This bubble pad is silvered on both sides and reflects 97% of your bodies radiant heat back to you. Under most conditions this pad will keep you warm down to 40 degrees Fahrenheit ( 5 Celsius) if you are using a good quality 40-degree sleeping bag.  Any other insulating materials like a fleece, spare clothing, hat, etc. can be placed under the pad for increased insulation.  This pad is tapered, wider at the shoulders and narrower at the feet.  It has a polyester black binding around the perimeter and a grommet with attached elastic and glove hook for use between the layers of the double bottomed Deep Jungle models.  This pad can also be used inside any other hammock model.  The construction of the Double Bubble Pad is more efficient than the similiar automobile windshield reflector pads that so many hikers are using.  Pad fits neatly inside your pack by making a cylinder around the inside circumferance of your pack and rolling any excess over level with the top of your pack.
