Letters from
Australia
I am a big guy at 130kg, nearly 300pounds and 20 years ago I had a back operation. I have never really slept well since. I like to get out and go for a walk in the Australian wilderness when I can but avoid doing overnighters as I find sleeping on thin camp matresses very painfull. Last night, I tried out my Hennessy Hammock for the first time. I walked into a wilderness area of the Blue Mountains and set up the Hammock, about 5 mins work the first time. Quicker next time I'm sure. Being the middle of winter here in Australia, it gets dark at around 6.00pm. Being in the wilderness by myself, I had nothing better to do but to get in the hammock and read an ebook on the palm pilot. I dozed off
after about a page. Woke up a couple of times and put wood on the fire, falling back to sleep instantly each time. Morning came a round and I avoided getting up as I was just to comfortable. I checked the watch and found that it was 7.30am. I had slept 13 hours! This from someone who struggles to sleep at the best of times.
You have a truly fantastic product.
Regards
Mark
"G'day Tom,
I use my hammock out bush at least
once per month...Please note that over twelve months of regularly using this hammock, I have ha no materals/workmanship
problems.
All the membes of my Outdoor Recreation Course(Tropical North Queensland TAFE, Cairns) have tried out the hammock and most have decided that tree-dwelling
is the way to go. Even my Fiancee has been sold on this product. I let her use it when we go hiking, while I slum it in my old aus army surplus "Hootchie" shelter. Guess what Virginia's getting for Christmas this year? I just won't tolerate sleeping
in the dirt after using the A-Sym.
Mate, you deserve a Nobel prize for your shelter design. I haven't had a bad night's sleep in my HH yet, regardless of weather - Craig Brown
